Art Blakey is one of the most influential drummers and jazz artists of the century. His famous group: “Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers” continued for almost 40 years, shaping the face of the music, and bringing forth a plethora of musicians that became leaders of jazz; some of them include Wayne Shorter, Freddie Hubbard, Lee Morgan, Benny Golson, Jackie McLean, and Wynton Marsalis.
