Founded in 2004 by violinist Dmitri Berlinsky, the International Chamber Soloists (ICS) is an exceptional ensemble of young string players worldwide. Initially created for advanced MSU students, ICS has evolved into a professional group, featuring musicians from major orchestras and esteemed institutions. Praised for their muscular and agile performances, ICS collaborates closely with experienced professionals, enriching the musical exposure for graduate students and engaging with top talents from renowned schools. The ensemble has captivated audiences across the U.S. and internationally, participating in festivals and serving as the ensemble in residence at prestigious events.
Dmitri Berlinsky, Professor of Violin at Michigan State University College of Music, is a renowned performer with a rich history of concerts in prestigious venues worldwide. As the initiator of the Dorothy DeLay MasterClass Series, he brought together top artists for virtual master classes amid the pandemic. Berlinsky, Artistic Director of "International Chamber Soloists," co-founded the "Juventus ProMusica" series in NYC, offering chamber music experiences for students. His recent soloist appearances include iconic European halls, and he's highly sought-after as a teacher, conducting master classes globally. Berlinsky has also served on the jury of esteemed international competitions.
