The Matt Bliton Band (Matt, Teresa Goforth, Jim Green, Chuck Page, Robby Richardson, Steve Springer, and Nate Bliton) are glad to finish their third CD; this one is titled Out of the Woods (after a tune by Jim Green) and is a tasty mix of blues rock, rock and roll, jam band, basso nova, Latin and folk rock. Out of the Woods is filled with incredible instrumentation, thoughtful songwriting, and tight harmonies and the band is glad to be at Urban Beat to celebrate with friends, family, fans and curious music lovers.
The CD (recorded with Ryan Wert at Elm Street Recording) also features Rick Seguin on harmonies, Mark Thompson on trumpet, Gary Clavette on sax, Mark Kieme on flute and sax, Joshua Dunigan and Ty Forquer on percussion.

"Poet and raconteur Matt Bliton writes in that sweet spot where folk and rock meet. Weaving honest, mindful tales with a tenor that cuts through the noise of a restless modern life, he taps into the struggles of the everyday man. His close-to-the-core lyrics and catchy melodies invoke intimacy and refreshing familiarity.

"Matt Bliton serves up an eclectic blend of styles from folk to rock and blues, even tinges of Irish or jazz. His full throated delivery of covers and originals stir up ghosts of Bob Dylan or Neil Young, but without a touch of imitation. A terrific writer, his lyrics touch, inspire or amuse. Check out Matt Bliton!"
