Seasoned songwriter Charlie Richardson weaves an eclectic tapestry of upbeat, artfully-clever Americana tunes into his original shows, storytelling with musical twists from jazz-swing to country-blues, guaranteeing variety for everyone.  It’s fitting that the name Charlie chose for his genre-bending band, “Jackalope”, describes a whimsically mixed-up animal that’s part jack rabbit and part antelope.   Just like a number of Jackalope songs, sometimes you’re just not quite sure what your eyes and ears are telling you.  Mike Lawrence on bass/vocals and David Stowe on drums/saxophone join Charlie’s guitar/lead vocals to round out this trio that has delighted local Lansing pubs, restaurants, farmer’s markets and special event audiences for the past five years.
